Orthodox Cathedral

It was built between 1923-1933. With a Brancoveanu architecture, with Byzantine elements and an interior decorated with fresco murals in the cathedral is one of the main religious buildings of the city of Cluj-Napoca.
It also hides a collection of ancient art, manuscripts, books, church documents and it is a testimony about the past history of the Romanian people.

“Sfantul Mihail” Roman-Chatolic Church

Being built between 1350-1487, is the most imposing Gothic edifice of our country with the tallest tower in Transylvania.
The stained glass and mural paintings of the fifteenth century, with stylistic influences from northern Italy and the early Renaissance painting reveals Cluj.

Romanian National Theater and Opera

With a capacity of 1050 seats, this edifice was inaugurated in 1919. National Theatre Gala is the organizer of the biennial National Theatre of Romania and the Romanian Opera House is the oldest lyric-dramatic institution in our country , featuring over 200 titles of operas, operettas and ballets from the universal and Romanian repertoire.

Tailors Bastion

It is an emblem of the medieval Cluj, was restored in 1959. Vestige of the second row of fortifications built in the fifteenth century by craftsmen from Cluj,from the decree made by King Sigismund of Luxemburg and partially rebuilt in the years 1627-1629 by the prince of Transylvania, Gabriel Bethlen, the monument has been maintained and kept tailor's guild, from where it comes the name.

“Matei Corvin” House

It is a historical and secular architecture, built in the fifteenth century in Gothic style with Renaissance influences. The house where Matthias was born in 1443, the most powerful and erudite king of Hungary and prince of Transylvania, has undergone many transformations, preserving the original building door frames in the late Gothic style. At present, here operates the "Ion Andreescu" University of Arts and Design .

Botanical Garden

Founded in 1872 and reorganized in 1920 by Professor Alexandru Borza, this is one of the most beautiful and most complex botanical gardens in Europe. It covers 14 hectares divided into specific areas and a national museum which includes 11,000 exhibits from all realms of Earth.
